Food is the most critical resource in the game. Population consumes
Food daily, and running out triggers a Food Shortage event that causes theft and work stoppages.
Food can be produced directly from fields, fisheries, and foraging, or through processing chains (
Flour → Bakery,
Milk → Creamery).
