Wood
From Project Rebearth
Wood is one of the three primary resources in Project Rebearth and the backbone of construction in temperate forest biomes. It is used as a building material, consumed as fuel and upkeep by all housing buildings, and is an input for the Tools Workshop.
Wood is produced primarily by the Woodcutter and its sub-buildings.

The Woodcutter is the primary source of
Wood and has the highest output in the Wood Biome (+30/day). Output is lower in the Stone Biome (+15/day) and Earth Biome (+5/day). The Saw provides a flat +20/day bonus regardless of biome but requires a steady supply of
Tools. The Woodcutter is not available in the Arctic Biome.
Production Chains
Tools Chain
Wood is a key input for the Tools Workshop, which consumes 5
Wood/day and 4
Metal/day to produce 2
Tools/day (10 workers).
Tools are required by many advanced production buildings including the Saw, Windmill, Bakery, Brewery, Glassworks, and Refinery.

| Shack | -1 | -1 | -0.1 | -2 | Housing upkeep |
| Hut | -1.5 | -1.5 | -0.15 | -3 | Housing upkeep |

Housing
Wood upkeep varies significantly by biome. The Earth Biome consumes roughly 1/10th the
Wood of other biomes (e.g. a Shack uses -0.1/day instead of -1.0/day). The Arctic Biome consumes double the normal rate (e.g. a Shack uses -2.0/day).

Other Sources
- Trade can be used to buy and sell
Wood on the Market (1,000 capacity) or Port (5,000 capacity). - Expeditions yield 15 random basic resources (
Wood,
Stone,
Earth, or
Glass) per 1,000 hectares explored. - Celebration events can grant bonus
Wood.

The goods production effect specifically targets
Wood,
Stone, and
Earth production. The all production effect affects every production building in the settlement.
Changelog
February 7, 2026
- Balance The Iron Mine has been rebalanced: maximum daily production is now 100 / 60 / 40 (
Stone /
Wood /
Earth biomes). Production in the Wood Biome and Earth Biome is now feasible, though the Stone Biome remains most favourable.
