Wood is one of the three primary resources in Project Rebearth and the backbone of construction in temperate forest biomes. It is used as a building material, consumed as fuel and upkeep by all housing buildings, and is an input for the Tools Workshop. The Wood resource icon on Project Rebearth Wood is produced primarily by the Woodcutter and its sub-buildings.

Production

Building Wood Stone Earth Arctic Workers Notes
Woodcutter +30 +15 +5 4 Main producer; -0.05 The Tools resource icon on Project Rebearth Tools/day in Wood Biome only
Saw +20 3 Child of Woodcutter; requires The Tools resource icon on Project Rebearth Tools (-0.2/day)
Nursery +5 +2 +1 1 Child of Woodcutter
Tent +5 +3 +1 1 Child of Woodcutter; -0.025 The Tools resource icon on Project Rebearth Tools/day in Wood Biome only
Foraging Hut +1 +1 1 Also produces The Food resource icon on Project Rebearth Food, The Stone resource icon on Project Rebearth Stone/The Earth resource icon on Project Rebearth Earth

The Woodcutter is the primary source of The Wood resource icon on Project Rebearth Wood and has the highest output in the Wood Biome (+30/day). Output is lower in the Stone Biome (+15/day) and Earth Biome (+5/day). The Saw provides a flat +20/day bonus regardless of biome but requires a steady supply of The Tools resource icon on Project Rebearth Tools. The Woodcutter is not available in the Arctic Biome.

Production Chains

Tools Chain

Tools Chain

The Wood resource icon on Project Rebearth Wood is a key input for the Tools Workshop, which consumes 5 The Wood resource icon on Project Rebearth Wood/day and 4 The Metal resource icon on Project Rebearth Metal/day to produce 2 The Tools resource icon on Project Rebearth Tools/day (10 workers). The Tools resource icon on Project Rebearth Tools are required by many advanced production buildings including the Saw, Windmill, Bakery, Brewery, Glassworks, and Refinery.

Consumption

Housing The Wood resource icon on Project Rebearth Wood upkeep varies significantly by biome. The Earth Biome consumes roughly 1/10th the The Wood resource icon on Project Rebearth Wood of other biomes (e.g. a Shack uses -0.1/day instead of -1.0/day). The Arctic Biome consumes double the normal rate (e.g. a Shack uses -2.0/day).
