Wool is an animal product obtained by raising Sheep on fields. It serves as the sole raw material for the Tailor, which converts it into
Clothes. As an animal-derived resource,
Wool production is disabled when the Vegan Society policy is active.
Production
[edit]
Wool is produced exclusively by fields with Sheep assigned as the crop type. Sheep fields produce both
Wool and
Food simultaneously.
Wool cannot be produced by any other building. Sheep must be unlocked by exploring at least 10 hectares of total area before
Wool production becomes available.
Production chains
[edit]Clothing chain
[edit]Sheep fields produce 0.005
Wool/m², which the Tailor converts into
Clothes. The Tailor consumes 50
Wool/day and produces 50
Clothes/day at a 1:1 ratio, requiring 10 workers and 0.1
Tools/day. Since Sheep fields also produce 0.005
Food/m², the clothing chain doubles as a
Food source.
Consumption
[edit]The Tailor is the only building that consumes
Wool. It converts
Wool into
Clothes at a 1:1 ratio.
Storage
[edit]
Wool is stored in general-purpose storage buildings alongside other resources. The Tailor stores
Clothes but not
Wool, so sufficient general storage capacity is needed near Sheep fields to avoid overflow.
Other sources
[edit]
Wool can be purchased from other players through the Market (up to 1,000 capacity) or the Port (up to 5,000 capacity). Trading for
Wool can be useful when Sheep farming is not yet established or when field space is limited.
Affected by
[edit]
Wool production from fields is affected by the food production modifier since Fields are food-category buildings. Beyond production multipliers, the Vegan Society policy completely disables animal products including
Wool, while Intensive Farming unlocks the ability to feed animals
Grain to boost their output.
