Iron Mine
From Project Rebearth
The Iron Mine is a resource production building that produces
Ore. It is one of the most expensive buildings in the game and the sole source of
Ore, feeding the tools production chain via the Refinery. The Iron Mine can be upgraded to the Improved Iron Mine for doubled output.
Overview
[edit]The Iron Mine costs 1,000 of the biome's primary resource plus 20
Tools to construct. It produces
Ore at biome-dependent rates: +100/day in the Stone Biome, +60/day in the Earth Biome, and +40/day in the Wood Biome, making the Stone Biome the most favourable location for ore extraction. All biomes consume 1
Tools per day to operate. The building requires 50 workers and is not available in the Arctic Biome.
The Iron Mine has a built-in storage capacity of 500
Ore. An exclusion zone prevents placement within 1,500 meters of another Iron Mine or Improved Iron Mine, ensuring that ore production cannot be concentrated in a single area.
The Iron Mine can be upgraded to the Improved Iron Mine at a cost of 100
Scrap. The upgrade doubles ore production to +200/day (Stone), +120/day (Earth), and +80/day (Wood), while increasing the worker requirement to 100 and expanding storage to 1,000
Ore.
Tools consumption remains at 1/day.
Ore produced by the Iron Mine is processed through the tools chain:
Changelog
[edit]February 23, 2026
February 21, 2026
- Balance Removed the
Tools requirement for the Iron Mine, making the tools production chain more profitable.
February 7, 2026
- Balance The Iron Mine placement restrictions were reworked. It is now easier to place relative to other buildings, but cannot be placed within 1.5 km of another Iron Mine.
- Balance The Iron Mine has been rebalanced: maximum daily production is now 100 / 60 / 40 (
Stone /
Wood /
Earth biomes). Production in the Wood Biome and Earth Biome is now feasible, though the Stone Biome remains most favourable.
