The Windmill is a Food building that converts 
Grain into 
Flour, the second link in the bread production chain. Flour produced here is consumed by the Bakery to produce 
Food.
Overview
[edit]The Windmill costs 200 of the biome's primary resource, 100 of a secondary resource, and 10 
Tools to construct. The Earth variant substitutes 
Stone for 
Wood as the secondary resource. It requires 5 workers and stores 100 units each of Flour and Grain.
Each day the Windmill consumes 100 Grain and produces 100 Flour, a 1:1 conversion. It also consumes a small amount of Tools (-0.1/day) for ongoing maintenance.
A Windmill enforces a 25-meter exclusion zone, preventing other production buildings from being placed too close. Decorative buildings, roads and other LineString-shaped structures, and Polygon-shaped buildings such as Fields, Plazas, and Dirt are exempt from this restriction and may be placed inside the zone.
The Windmill upgrades to the Improved Windmill for 100 
Scrap. The upgrade reduces grain consumption to 80 Grain per day for the same 100 Flour output, and removes the Tools maintenance cost entirely.
