Cow fields are one of three animal types that can be raised on a Field in Project Rebearth. Cow fields produce both 
Food and 
Milk, and have the highest Food output of any animal type.

Overview
A cow field produces 0.01 Food and 0.005 Milk per m² per day. At 1 hectare (10,000 m²), this amounts to 100 Food and 50 Milk per day. Cow fields require 0.0006 workers per m², meaning a 1-hectare field needs 6 workers, the same as a Sheep field but more than a Goat field (which requires only 4 workers per hectare).
Compared to other animal types, cows are the most food-efficient option. They produce double the Food of sheep and goats (+0.01 vs +0.005 per m²/day), while their Milk output is half that of goats (+0.005 vs +0.01 per m²/day). This makes cow fields particularly suited for settlements that prioritize raw Food production alongside a moderate Milk supply.
Like all fields, cow fields are polygon-type buildings drawn directly on the map. Construction costs 0.01 of the biome's primary resource per m²: 
Wood in the Wood Biome, 
Stone in the Stone Biome, and 
Earth in the Earth Biome. A 1-hectare cow field therefore costs 100 of the biome resource. Cow fields are not available in the Arctic Biome.
Fields cannot overlap with other Fields, Quarries, or Claypits and must maintain a minimum distance of 1 meter from them.
Production Chain
Milk produced by cow fields can be processed at the Creamery, which converts Milk into Food at a rate of -50 Milk / +50 Food per day. This means a 1-hectare cow field produces enough Milk to fully supply one Creamery, effectively adding another 50 Food per day on top of the field's direct Food output. Combined, a 1-hectare cow field paired with a Creamery yields 150 Food per day total.
The Food produced directly by cow fields is consumed by the population and does not require further processing.

Cows produce the most Food of any animal type, making them the best choice when Food is the primary concern. Goats produce double the Milk with fewer workers, making them more efficient for Milk-focused production. Sheep are the only animal type that produces Wool, which is needed for the Tailor to make 
Clothes.
Affected By
The Vegan Society choice disables all animal field types, including cows. While active, existing animal fields cannot produce and new ones cannot be set to animal types. Vegan Society provides a +20% bonus to Food production in exchange.
The Intensive Farming choice unlocks the Maize crop type but does not directly affect cow fields.
Animal field types must first be unlocked through gameplay before they become available.
