Sheep are one of three animal types that can be raised on a Field in Project Rebearth. Sheep fields produce both
Food and
Wool, making them a key part of the
Clothes production chain.

Overview
A sheep field produces 0.005
Food and 0.005
Wool per m² per day. At 1 hectare (10,000 m²), this amounts to 50
Food and 50
Wool per day. Sheep fields require 0.0006 workers per m², meaning a 1-hectare field needs 6 workers, the same as a Cow field but more than a Goat field (which requires only 4 workers per hectare).
Like all fields, sheep fields are polygon-type buildings drawn directly on the map. Construction costs 0.01 of the biome's primary resource per m²:
Wood in the Wood Biome,
Stone in the Stone Biome, and
Earth in the Earth Biome. A 1-hectare sheep field therefore costs 100 of the biome resource. Sheep fields are not available in the Arctic Biome.
Fields cannot overlap with other Fields, Quarries, or Claypits and must maintain a minimum distance of 1 meter from them.
Unlocking
Sheep are the second animal type to become available. They are unlocked when a settlement's total explored area reaches 10 hectares (100,000 m²). When the threshold is reached, a notification event informs the player that sheep have been discovered and are now available as a field type.
Production chain
Wool produced by sheep fields is the sole source of raw material for the Tailor, which converts
Wool into
Clothes at a rate of -50
Wool / +50
Clothes per day.
Clothes can then be sold at Market Stall 5 for
Coin, or traded via the Market or Port.
The
Food produced by sheep fields is consumed directly by the population and does not require further processing.
Comparison with other animal types
Sheep produce equal amounts of
Food and
Wool and share the same worker cost as cows. Goats produce double the
Milk of cows with fewer workers, but cows produce double the
Food of sheep and goats. Sheep are the only animal type that produces
Wool, making them essential for any
Clothes production.
Affected by
The Vegan Society choice disables all animal field types, including sheep. While active, existing animal fields cannot produce and new ones cannot be set to animal types. Vegan Society provides a +20% bonus to
Food production in exchange.
The Intensive Farming choice unlocks the Maize crop type but does not directly affect sheep fields.
