The Large Ship is an infrastructure building that can be placed near a Port or Dock on water. It reduces export and import costs by 50%, providing the largest single reduction of any vessel.
Overview
[edit]The Large Ship must be placed within 300 meters of a Port or Dock and can only be built on water. It costs 8,000
Wood and 100
Scrap to construct, the same across all biomes. Once built, it consumes 10
Drinks per day. It does not require any workers or provide housing.
The Large Ship reduces export and import costs by 50%, the highest reduction of any single ship. Different ship types stack with each other: a Small Ship (10%), Medium Ship (25%), and Large Ship (50%) can all contribute simultaneously for a combined 85% reduction. However, building multiple Large Ships does not provide additional cost reduction beyond the first.
Docks can be used to extend the area where ships can be built, allowing placement further from the Port.
