The Dock is an infrastructure building that extends the construction range for ships. It must be placed near a Port or another Dock on water, allowing ships to be built further from the Port itself.
Overview
[edit]The Dock must be placed within 20 meters of a Port or another Dock and can only be built on water. It costs 20
Wood to construct, the same across all biomes. The Dock does not consume any resources, require workers, or provide housing.
The Dock's purpose is to extend the area where ships can be placed. Ships (Small Ship, Medium Ship, and Large Ship) can be built within their respective placement ranges of any Dock, not just the Port directly.
Docks can chain off other Docks, not just the Port. A Port can support a Dock within 20 meters, and another Dock can be placed within 20 meters of the first, progressively extending coverage along a coastline or across a bay.
