Tools
From Project Rebearth
(Redirected from Tool)
Tools are a refined resource in Project Rebearth, produced by the Tools Workshop from
Metal and
Wood. They serve a dual role in the game: as a construction material for advanced buildings and as an ongoing maintenance cost consumed by most production buildings. Maintaining a steady
Tools supply is essential for any settlement with advanced industry.
Overview
[edit]The Tools Workshop converts 4
Metal/day and 5
Wood/day into 2
Tools/day, requiring 10 workers. The production rate of 2
Tools/day must be balanced against the combined consumption of all buildings that require
Tools maintenance. As a settlement grows and adds more production buildings, the demand for
Tools escalates rapidly.
Tools are also required as a one-time construction cost for many advanced buildings including the Windmill, Bakery, Refinery, Glassworks, Iron Mine, Port, University, Museum, and Town Hall. The University and Museum are the most expensive at 100
Tools each, while the Port requires 50
Tools.
Production
[edit]| Building | Workers | Notes | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tools Workshop | +2/day | -4/day | -5/day | 10 | Only source of |
The Tools Workshop is the only building that produces
Tools. It requires both
Metal (from the Refinery) and
Wood as inputs.
Production chains
[edit]Full Tools chain
[edit]The complete chain begins with the Iron Mine extracting
Ore, which the Refinery smelts into
Metal, and finally the Tools Workshop forges
Metal and
Wood into
Tools. This is one of the longest production chains in the game and requires significant worker investment across all three buildings.
Consumption
[edit]
Tools are consumed as ongoing maintenance by a wide range of production buildings. The following table lists all buildings with
Tools consumption rates.
| Building | Notes | |
|---|---|---|
| Iron Mine | N/A/day | All biomes |
| Improved Iron Mine | -1/day | All biomes; upgraded version |
| Stone Crane | -0.1/day | All biomes |
| Improved Stone Crane | -1/day | All biomes; upgraded version |
| Clay Crane | -0.1/day | All biomes |
| Improved Clay Crane | -1/day | All biomes; upgraded version |
| Glassworks | -0.5/day | |
| Saw | -0.2/day | Child of Woodcutter |
| Refinery | -0.2/day | |
| Windmill | -0.1/day | |
| Bakery | -0.1/day | |
| Tailor | -0.1/day | |
| Brewery | -0.1/day | |
| Creamery | -0.1/day | |
| Woodcutter | -0.05/day | Wood Biome only |
| Tent | -0.025/day | Wood Biome only; child of Woodcutter |
The Iron Mine and its upgraded variant are the largest consumers of
Tools at N/A
Tools/day each. The upgraded cranes (Improved Stone Crane, Improved Clay Crane) also consume -1
Tools/day each. Note that the Woodcutter and Tent only consume
Tools in the Wood Biome.
Construction
[edit]
Tools are required as a one-time construction cost for these buildings:
Storage
[edit]| Building | Volume | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Center | 5,000 | Shared with all resources |
| Square | 10,000 | Shared with all resources |
| Warehouse | 5,000 | Shared with all resources |
| Tools Workshop | 50 |
Other sources
[edit]
Tools can be purchased from other players through the Market (up to 1,000 capacity) or the Port (up to 5,000 capacity). Trading for
Tools is often necessary in the early game before the full Iron Mine to Tools Workshop chain is established.
Affected by
[edit]
Tools production is affected only by the all production modifier, which applies to every production building including the Tools Workshop. The goods production modifier targets only
Wood,
Stone, and
Earth, and does not apply to
Tools.
| Effect | Source | Multiplier | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| All production | New Town Boost | 2 | Automatic (4 days) |
| Great Federation | 1.1 | Alliance type | |
| Science League | 0.8 | Alliance type |
Changelog
[edit]February 23, 2026
February 21, 2026
- Balance Removed the
Tools requirement for the Iron Mine, making the tools production chain more profitable.
February 17, 2026
- Balance Woodcutters and Tents in the Wood Biome now require a small amount of
Tools (−0.05/day), balancing exponential growth in the Wood Biome and increasing demand for the Stone Biome's tool production. The Nursery is unaffected.
Tools consumption of the Saw was also lowered.
