Wood in the Arctic. At a cost of 22.5 resources per resident, the House is less efficient per capita than the lower-tier Shack, Hut, or Cabin, but its higher capacity means fewer buildings are needed to house the same number of people.
Daily upkeep consists of -2.5 Wood and -4 Food per day in most biomes. In the Earth biome, Wood consumption drops significantly to just -0.25/day, making it a particularly efficient choice in arid regions. The Arctic doubles Wood upkeep to -5/day, reflecting the harsher climate and increased heating demands.
