== Overview ==
[[Goat|Goats]] produce {{BuildingData|name=field|data=rate|crop=goat|resource=milk}} {{Icon|Milk}}/m² alongside {{BuildingData|name=field|data=rate|crop=goat|resource=food}} {{Icon|Food}}/m², making them the higher-yield {{Icon|Milk}} source. [[Cow|Cows]] produce {{BuildingData|name=field|data=rate|crop=cow|resource=milk}} {{Icon|Milk}}/m² alongside {{BuildingData|name=field|data=rate|crop=cow|resource=food}} {{Icon|Food}}/m², yielding more {{Icon|Food}} directly but less {{Icon|Milk}}. Both animal types require workers to tend the fields: Goats need {{#expr:0-{{BuildingData|name=field|data=balance|crop=goat|resource=population}}}} workers per m² and Cows need {{#expr:0-{{BuildingData|name=field|data=balance|crop=cow|resource=population}}}} workers per m².

The [[Creamery]] consumes {{#expr:0-{{BuildingData|name=creamery|data=rate|resource=milk}}}} {{Icon|Milk}}/day and produces {{BuildingData|name=creamery|data=rate|resource=food}} {{Icon|Food}}/day at a 1:1 conversion ratio, requiring {{#expr:0-{{BuildingData|name=creamery|data=balance|resource=population}}}} workers and {{#expr:0-{{BuildingData|name=creamery|data=rate|resource=tools}}}} {{Icon|Tools}}/day. Unlike the Bakery chain which doubles its input, the Creamery converts {{Icon|Milk}} into {{Icon|Food}} at equal rates, so the total {{Icon|Food}} output from dairy depends heavily on the direct {{Icon|Food}} produced by the animal fields themselves.

Animals must be unlocked by reaching explored area thresholds through [[Expeditions]]: [[Goat|Goats]] unlock at 1 hectare, [[Sheep]] at 10 hectares, and [[Cow|Cows]] at 100 hectares. The [[Vegan Society]] policy disables all animal products including {{Icon|Milk}}, while [[Intensive Farming]] allows animals to be fed {{Icon|Grain}} to increase output.
