== Details == When a player creates an alliance, they choose one of three alliance types: Trade Alliance, Great Federation, or Science League. The chosen type determines the passive bonuses applied to all members of the alliance. Science League has no enactment cost and no lock duration. The Science League is built around accelerating research and exploration. Knowledge generation at Universities is 20% faster, and Expeditions cost 20% less in Food, Knowledge, and Population, making it significantly cheaper to explore new territory and recover Scrap. Alliance members also enjoy a +10% happiness boost, which reduces the risk of strikes and helps trigger celebrations and productivity booms. The major drawback is a blanket 20% reduction to all production. Every building that produces resources, from Woodcutters and Fisheries to Bakeries and Refineries, operates at only 80% of its normal output. This makes the Science League less suited for settlements that need high raw throughput, and more appropriate for mature towns with established supply chains that can absorb the production penalty.
