== Overview ==
The [[Claypit]] is the primary source of {{Icon|Earth}}. As a polygon building, its production rate scales with area: +{{BuildingData|name=claypit|data=rate|biome=wood|resource=earth}} {{Icon|Earth}}/m²/day in the [[Wood Biome]] and [[Stone Biome]], and +{{BuildingData|name=claypit|data=rate|biome=earth|resource=earth}} {{Icon|Earth}}/m²/day in the [[Earth Biome]]. The [[Clay Crane]] is placed within a Claypit to boost output, producing +{{BuildingData|name=clay_crane|data=rate|biome=wood|resource=earth}}/day in the [[Wood Biome]], +{{BuildingData|name=clay_crane|data=rate|biome=stone|resource=earth}}/day in the [[Stone Biome]], and +{{BuildingData|name=clay_crane|data=rate|biome=earth|resource=earth}}/day in the [[Earth Biome]], at the cost of {{Icon|Tools}} ({{BuildingData|name=clay_crane|data=rate|biome=wood|resource=tools}}/day). The [[Improved Clay Crane]] significantly increases output (+{{BuildingData|name=clay_crane_upgraded|data=rate|biome=wood|resource=earth}}/+{{BuildingData|name=clay_crane_upgraded|data=rate|biome=stone|resource=earth}}/+{{BuildingData|name=clay_crane_upgraded|data=rate|biome=earth|resource=earth}} per day in Wood/Stone/Earth) but consumes more {{Icon|Tools}} ({{BuildingData|name=clay_crane_upgraded|data=rate|biome=wood|resource=tools}}/day).

The [[Foraging Hut]] produces a small amount of {{Icon|Earth}} (+{{BuildingData|name=foraging_hut|data=rate|biome=wood|resource=earth}}/day) in the [[Wood Biome]] and [[Stone Biome]], alongside {{Icon|Food}} and other basic resources. It does not produce {{Icon|Earth}} in the [[Earth Biome]].

In the [[Earth Biome]], {{Icon|Earth}} is the primary construction material. Most buildings that cost {{Icon|Wood}} in the [[Wood Biome]] or {{Icon|Stone}} in the [[Stone Biome]] cost {{Icon|Earth}} instead. The [[Claypit]] is not available in the [[Arctic Biome]].
