			The Dock must be placed within {{BuildingData\|name=dock\|data=within}} meters of a [[Port]] or another Dock and can only be built on water. The Dock does not consume any resources, require workers, or provide housing.

			The Dock's purpose is to extend the area where ships can be placed. Ships ([[Small Ship]], [[Medium Ship]], and [[Large Ship]]) can be built within their respective placement ranges of any Dock, not just the Port directly.

			Docks can chain off other Docks, not just the Port. A Port can support a Dock within {{BuildingData\|name=dock\|data=within}} meters, and another Dock can be placed within {{BuildingData\|name=dock\|data=within}} meters of the first, progressively extending coverage along a coastline or across a bay.
